Hydrazine Based Boiler Oxygen Scavenger

Chemtex’s Hydrazine Based Boiler Oxygen Scavengers are very effective oxygen scavengers based on a volatile liquid formulation of hydrazine and catalyst. It is used to remove the even the last traces of dissolved oxygen from the boiler feed water by the following equation:-

O2 + N2H4 —> 2H2O + N2
Oxygen + Hydrazine —> Water + Nitrogen Gas

The catalyst in the product helps to increase the rate of the above reaction and ensures complete removal of dissolved oxygen in boiler feed water in lesser time.

It also prevents corrosion by forming a protective passive film on metal and by boosting the pH in condensate line.

Dosage and Method:-

Chemtex’s Hydrazine Based Boiler Oxygen Scavengers are dosed exactly as per the dosage rate and method of MAXTREAT 3200.
